I want to add a glass tile mosaic backsplash to my kitchen something like this color but hopefully with a little more greens and reds......

I painted my walls a gold but now hate it and am trying to find a good color to replace it. I have painted two test spots with Benjamin Moore paints Nantucket Gray and Olive Branch. Neither of them is making me go "Oh thats it". My whole living and dining room area is painted Bassett Hall Gold from Porter Paints (which is a deep kahaki color) so I am trying to stay away from beiges. I am eventually going to get dark cabinets and a beigey countertop if this helps. Any suggestions would be great!
My kitchen started off a pale yellow, but because we have a big window in the kitchen it was almost blinding when the sun would shine in....Also I am trying not to go too dark as I am afraid it will look much like a dungeon once I get the dark cabinets in. The paint color Olive Branch I have up is like a sage green....but I keep feeling like I SHOULD go darker....but again am afraid it will be too dark with the cabinets.

Hi,
I am thinking about putting up a tile backsplash. I was told by the company that sells the tin backsplash tiles that I should probably remove the ceramic tiles first. I have never removed a ceramic tile backsplash before. How hard is this to do? About how long will it take? Do you think I will damage the wallboard below. Just don't want to get in over my head. Any advice at all would be so appreciated!!!

My kitchen has a glossy white ceramic backsplash. Random tiles have a fruit motif scattered around the backsplash-design appears to be some sort of decal that was applied on top of the tile. I would like to update the kitchen and get rid of these fruit motifs. I have tried Goof-Off, soap, Comet and they do not budge. Does anyone have any other ideas without damaging the tiles--I would like to just have the plain white tiles as I do not want to tear out the tile. Thanks for your suggestions!

The floor is a rusty orangeish gray mix, cabinets natural wood and grays and tans in the granite. I can not decide on the backsplash. Should it match the floor if it is going to be tile also? Or should it be totally different than the floor? All the pictures I see are wood floor and tile backsplash or the both are tile that are the same color.
